[Artisan’s Life Vol.27] The Challenge of a Young Inden Craftsman!
Yamanashi prefecture’s Koshu-inden leathercraft has a history of approximately 400 years. This traditional craftwork of lacquered deerskin leather spread in popularity as a familiar item among the people in the Edo period.
Starting with the white inden URUSHINASHIKA, which was designed by the third generation successor of the traditional craftwork technique, we will introduce the endeavors of the young craftsman.
